Extra General Meeting 2009
The EGM on 20.9.09 at the Holiday Inn, Chapel Lane, Great Barr, did not achieve a quorum and was therefore adjourned to 18.10.09 at 2pm.
It was initially requested that the EGM be held at the annual show in November in Nottingham, but this has proved impossible as one of the agenda items must be finalised before that date. The accounts must be submitted to Companies House by 31.10.09 and therefore a September date was chosen in order to meet that deadline.
The 2 major agenda items will be:
1. the adoption of the accounts
2. the proposed changes to the articles of association.
Proxy voting forms and a full agenda will be issued to all voting members in due course and in line with the requirements of the articles as they stand.
At the end of the meeting there will be an open forum for members present to be able to ask questions of the Council.
All voting members are urged to review the proposed changes and to make every effort to attend, or failing that to return their proxy form to the president.
The proposed changes to the Articles are published, along with a summary of changes and the existing Articles, in the Member Resources section of the website in the right-hand menu which appears when you log on as a member. the documents are found in the President's folder.
