The Flowers and Plants Association Competition
This competition was open to all floristry students
All entries will be publicised on The F and PA website.
The schedulke was: ‘High Fashion Houseplants; develop a stylish design for one of the top 10 best selling indoor plants, that can be used to promote and market it on a National scale.'
Competitors were asked to take an inspiration from a well known fashion model (e.g. "Agyness Dean or "Erin O'Connor") and using one of the top 10 best selling plants, design and create a packaging concept around your chosen plant, to give it the "must buy look!" for any age of consumer.

Any accessories could be used; any theme for the concept was possible.
To be staged on open tables, space allowed 30cm x 30cm with no restriction on height
Prizes
1st prize - 2 editions of the Bloom trend inspiration book, plus Readers Digest Year Round Indoor Gardening book (worth £98.99) winner PIP CROFT
2nd prize - 1 edition of the Bloom trend inspiration book, plus Readers Digest Year Round Indoor Gardening book (worth £58.99) winner HARKAMAL UBHI
3rd prize - 1 edition of the Bloom trend inspiration book (worth £40) winner SHEENA LENNON

CLASS E
The Sylvia Bird Cup
This competition was open to all floristry students
Competitors were invited to create a body adornment incorporating fabric, to be worn by one of the models of a well known fashion house.
They were required tosState on a card the name of the fashion house. Accessories could be used but fresh flowers had to predominate.
To be staged on open tables, space allowed 30cm x 30cm.
Prizes
1st prize £50 plus the Sylvia Bird Cup (to be held for one year) winner INESE GRIBONIKA
2nd prize £30 winner TRACY STRANGE
3rd prize £20 winner NATASHA BARBARA
