Beads, Buttons and Bows

Interested in jewellery? Like to play and create? Then book your place at this one hour workshop with Judith Derby NDSF Hon. FSF.
She will be sharing her ideas and creativity with you, to create unique fashion accessories, including brooches, belts, bags etc. Come along and play with shapes, textures and plant materials, to design and create your own brooch to match your outfit, so you can wear it for the rest of the day!
All materials included, just bring your scissors and have fun.

The Golden Rule - Demystified

Paul Raven NDSF from the Welsh College of Horticulture will present a seminar and hands on practical workshop exploring symmetry / asymmetry and use of 3:5:8 proportions. The workshop is open to all florists including anyone interested in exploring European Design Principles or finding out more about the Level 5 Master Diploma in Professional Floristry.

Glued and Wired Designs

Pamela Bennett MDPF and Jane Cowan MDPF, from Wolverhampton College have both recently passed the new Level 5 MDPF. In this practical, hands on workshop Pam and Jane will demonstrate, and explain some of the gluing and wiring techniques that are used at both Level 4 and Level 5. They will also pass on their experiences of the new qualifications giving you an insight into what is required, if you are thinking of undertaking these exciting new courses.

Form Linear Arrangements for Commercial Florists

Elaine Robinson NDSF FSF will explain the theory of form linear arrangements and will demonstrate how this style of design can be cost effective and commercially viable, especially for contract work. Make your arrangements stand out from the competition.
