Natalie Stanyer LCGI MSF

Natalie StanyerNatalie's career in floristry started when she was just 15, taking up a Saturday job in her local florists. Immediately falling in love with floristry she decided this was the job for her. What she didn't realise however was at the age of 21 she would become part of Team UK, heading to Japan to take part in the floristry event at WorldSkills and winning a Medallion for Excellence.

For Natalie it's the creative nature of the industry that appeals. "Floristry is a never ending progression, nothing stays the same, customers want exciting designs and it's my job to turn their dreams into actual floral displays. I love it."  Natalie's flair with flowers has seen her rocket to stardom, allowing her to gain from training with some of the world's famous floral experts.

Natalie displays her unique skills, ability and exceptional talent in creating floral designs at Natalie at Elizabeth 's in Newcastle-under-Lyme , where she is able to showcase an expansive range of designs and arrangements.

1:15pm - Fusion of Tantalising Textures

Eileen Avery- Scott NDSF FSF

eileen avery-scott

Although Eileen decided at the age of 15 that floristry was the career for her she has a simple mantra - you never stop learning.... and with that in mind she carved out a name for herself not only as a dedicated floral designer but also as an inspirational teacher.

During her training at the Welsh College of Horticulture in Mold, North Wales, she found work experience on the Island of Jersey but realising that the movement in floral art was turning away from the traditional to the more avant garde she went to Iceland to immerse herself in the European style of work.

Eileen told Fusion Flowers; "It is important to keep up with the industry, trends, new products and techniques. What I want to do is to teach people to be designers and not just copy designs. I am always on the lookout for new ideas and I believe you never stop learning."

Eileen likes to stretch the boundaries and draws inspiration from many different craft techniques incorporating these into floral designs creating eye catching designs that will inspire anyone in the audience to create plus is regularly involved in travelling to Spain to take part in design workshops, teaching across the country and taking part in workshops.
